Customodal Truckload Specialist Brings Local Perspective, Global Connections

Tim Schaefer is a Truckload Specialist at Customodal. Though new to the Customodal team, he has more than two decades of experience in the industry.

Born and raised in Marshfield, Tim has an A.A.S. Degree in Network Specialist. Prior to joining Customodal, he worked at Windy Hill Foliage for 20 years doing a “little bit of everything” but mainly working in dispatch with company drivers and customers.

“I really enjoy the atmosphere of my job. It’s laid back at times, but then serious when needed,” he said. “Also, the teamwork and communication that happens on a daily basis is phenomenal.”

A truckload specialist works closely with a shipper to identify and find the right solution to their needs. At Customodal, they have access to global connections, high-end technology, and premium carriers – all while still bringing that local touch.

For someone thinking about a career in logistics, Tim offers this advice: “If you are looking for something that is different on a day-to-day basis, challenges you to think outside the box and to communicate with different people all over the country, logistics is for you.”

In his free time, Tim enjoys golfing, fishing, playing on the water, and exploring new places. He enjoys spending time with his family – watching them play sports or spending time at their place in Park Falls, WI. Tim lives in Marshfield with his wife, Monica, and their four kids: three sons, Khailyn, Caleb, and Gage, and one daughter, Angie.
